According to the archives, Jenna and Paulie's story started in August of 2002, in the beautiful town of Wildwood, New Jersey. By all accounts, they were likely more interested in sand castles than each other at the time, and with good reason!

Fast-forward to middle school, where the Phillips family joined the Cantilina's at their Vermont house. A friendship began, even though Paulie was much too shy to make any sort of advances, not to mention he was a mere 11 years old and Jenna was an imposing 13-year old with a spunky personality.

Throughout high school, the arms-length friendship would continue, with Paulie often asking Jenna to pick him up from parties just so he could see her (she was older and had a cool Land Rover).

Jenna embarked on her college career at University of Delaware, where Paulie's brother Peter showed her the ropes of frat parties as the elder statesman he was. Paulie went to Villanova a year later, and would visit his brother on occasion, though he rarely saw Jenna. Timing never seemed to work out!

In the summer of 2019, Jenna and Paulie coincidentally ended up down the shore at the storied establishment called the Parker House, and it was just like old times! Paulie later asked Jenna on a date to The Office in Ridgewood, NJ, followed by bowling with four of his friends. She was the only female present. No wonder she ghosted him for awhile... I mean, what was he thinking? Bowling with the boys as a first date? C'mon, man.

Paulie later moved to New York City in March of 2021, but never forgot about Jenna. She moved there in the fall of that year, and the wheels were in motion. In November, Paulie asked her out over a personal pizza (the way to Jenna's heart), and the rest is history!
